Research Interests:

How genes respond rapidly in face of environmental stresses by long ncRNAs, and also I am interested in how genes function and evolve in response to genetic and environmental changes.

Research Experience:

Sep. 2009 – present
Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, IGDB, CAS
Advisor: Dr. Xiujie Wang
1) Identification and functional research of long ncRNAs by RNA-Seq data.
2) MicroRNA prediction and biogenesis through high throughput sequencing data.
3) Identification and functional research of specific functional elements.
4) How regulatory networks rapidly adapt in response to environmental stresses in Arabidopsis by RNA-Seq data.

Sep. 2006 – June 2009
Economic animal production, Northeast Agricultural University
Advisor: Dr. Xiujie Wang and Dr. Xiujuan Bai
1) Bioinformatic analysis of microRNA biogenesis and function related proteins.
2) Analysis of microarray gene expression data.

Education:

IGDB, CAS, Beijing, P. R. China
Ph.D. Student in Bioinformatics, Sep. 2009 to present

NEAU, Harbin, P. R. China
Master of Science in Zoology, Sep. 2006 to June 2009

HUST, Wuhan, P. R. China
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer science and technology Sep. 2003 to June 2005

Self-evaluation:

I have the ability to fast learning under pressure, and have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
