Expansion of tandem repeats in genes often causes severe neuromuscular diseases. DRED is a manually-curated comprehensive database collecting genes related to Repeat Expansion Diseases. DRED covers all reported repeat expansion diseases and related information included in PubMed and OMIM databases, and also provides a list of predicted genes containing unstable tandem repeats that may become pathogenic via abnormal repeat expansion.
